OTC's Bearing Splitters feature 'knife-like' edges that are easily placed behind the part to secure a gripping surface, even when clearances are extremely limited. Constructed from high-strength materials designed for long-term use under the harshest conditions, these splitters have a minimum spread of 1/2 inch and a maximum spread of 9 inches, with a distance of 6 inches between the threaded inserts. The face of the splitter halves has 5/8-18 tapped holes, allowing them to be used with puller nos. 1035, 1040, 1041, 1042, 1065, 1063, and 938.
When used with an OTC 'Grip-O-Matic' puller, the puller jaws grip the attachment's outer edge, providing a secure hold. Alternatively, when used with a Push-Puller, the puller legs are threaded into the attachment's two tapped holes, enabling a different approach to the task at hand.
